The Ride of Our Lives!!

So after Akil and Mei Yen left for their hometown for the end of semester holiday, there was only me and Dionne left out of the gang of four. Initially, I wanted to go to MidValley to shop and get cottage cheese for my Mum. However, through the power of persuasion from Dionne (I'm giving you too much credit...hahaha) I found myself wondering the different floors of Sunway Pyramid's new-wing with my dear kakak...

As you guys know, the life of Leonard (that's me...in case you don't know) is always full of randomness. As we sat at the Hartz Chicken Buffet Restaurant with Elaine, Manpreet, Kel Zoe, Joey and Leh Bin, the idea of going to MidValley came to our minds...and off we go...

I'm getting way ahead of myself here. So it happened that Kel Zoe's sister was also going to MidV and was willing to drive some of us (as not everyone can fit into her car) and the rest would follow in Joey's car.

Now, let me tell you about Joey. She's the most innocent girl that can ever be found on this planet. But, she compensate that aspect of her by having an extremely bubbly personality, loud range of vocal projection (or very...very...very...very loud...) and restless. Which is fine by me as long as we get to MidV...hahaha...though that was not the case at first...

Joey couldn't remember where she had parked her car which she named Mango. She there we were looking around for Mango in the massive carpark until I'm puffing and sweating...we took around 20 to 25 minutes to find Mango and now the terror begins...

Joey's driving skill is not bad...but she is super restless in her car...dancing to the radio...making hilarious comments and laughing out loud...she's a wreck...if you get what I mean. Not a wreck wreck...but a positive wreck...okay...whatever...

Well, her driving skill basically sacred the living daylight out of me...I think Dionne suffered more though as she was in the front seat...lol...

Joey the "rollercoaster" driver...

Looking uncannily calm...which make us more scared...

Along the way, she kept on telling us to trust her...which was a bit...emm...hard?...ahahaha...yet it was all fun...I was laughing at her silly comment all the way to MidV...but don't forget how terrified we are at the same time...

Dionne: Ahhh...oh my God!! Why is your windscreen wipers so fast and furios?!! Ahhhhh....

Leh Bin: Oh Lord! I'll close my eyes and my ears and pretend that I'm in a dream...somebody save us!!!...

Yours truly: I'm too young to die...please spare my soul!! Please...Joey pay attention! Hold the steering wheel!!...Fuhh...

Fortunately, we manage to arrive safely...not a scratch...which I guess I'm thankful to Joey...Kel Zoe, Manpreet and Elaine was our welcoming party at the carpark...they were more worried about our lives that ourselves...hahaha...

The welcoming party: You guys are SAFE!! Thank God!

At last we managed to reach Gardens which, is another new shopping mall similar to KLCC and start shopping. I was very excited about coming to Gardens because I heard there was a very cool t-shirt shop here. The shop is called "Graffi Tee"...

Me and Kel Zoe browsing in "Graffi Tee"...I was a bit dissapointed by the fact that there were not much choices in the shop and the t-shirt that I wanted was still not there...which sucks...I wanted to shop and get something badly after getting my Mum's cottage cheese. So we walk around a bit more and camwhored with the mall's background...

The garden bridge...it's a backdrop...

Dionne looked like she's in an English countryside...thanks to my photography skills...hahaha...

Dionne and Kel Zoe camwhoring...what's new...

Me, Kel Zoe and Dionne...I'm moping over my t-shirt dissapointment...lol...

Group photo!! Leh Bin, Me, Dionne, Manpreet, Joey and Kel Zoe...Elaine was the photographer...kesian...tak dapat bergambar...lol...

Then it's time to go back. Oh, I got myself another top from Topmen...they are having their mid-season sale right now...there's bargains galore!

Well, the same thing happened again...we forgot where Joey's car @ Mango was and started another search for it...lol...we can be so forgetful sometimes...As none of us were familiar with the road in KL, we took the risk and just follow the road signs. We were supposed to go back to our college which was right at the border of Subang and Petaling Jaya (PJ)...so we followed the sign to PJ and ended up on the other side of town which we called the real PJ and our college is situated in the fake PJ. So we turned around and manage to follow the sign to Subang Jaya and Bandar Sunway.

After that I had dinner with Elaine and Leh Bin...and we chat...it was a great day!! And I seriously hope that all of us can do it agian some day soon!

That's all..I gotta catch the train now to the bus station cause I'm going back to Kedah today!! I'm sooo happy! Chat later!

A Jumble of Nonsense...

It's been a very stressful week, final exam is coming very soon (next monday to be exact) and my Human Communication academic essay (due on the last day of final exam) is still not done. Seriously, I'm currently living up to my title of being a "Procrastinating King"...I was supposed to finish my assignment today...but...look what I'm doing now? I'm blogging...it's all you guys' fault...hahaha...tempting me to blog for your pleasure...hahaha...I know, I'm dramatic and sometimes narcissistic...that's how I am...Anyway, since I'm blogging just for the sake of procrastination (but my entry is still as sincere as ever, mind you) I don't really have much to talk about...so instead let me show you some pics which equate to a true jumble of nonsense...

Let me introduce some of my wacky (and not so wacky, if you catch the flow...oh well...nevermind) classmates...tada...

Pok...pok...Pokai!!

This is the story of how I become so broke that Maggi Mee is my best friend for the moment...

Well, the tale begin on a Saturday. It was the weekend and I had a lunch date with my friend, Alex who is currently doing his medical pre-u course in KTT before going to Indonesia under the PSD scholarship. And so we met at Sunway Pyramid, we started off by snacking on sushi as we loitered around the massive mall. Then, we decided to watch a movie and got ourselves the tickets to watch "The Seeker" which was at 2.30pm...It was still early, so we had lunch at this wonderful place clalled the "Bar . B . Q Plaza".

The food there was superb as it was a fussion between barbeque, steamboat and noodles. And not to meantion healthy as well, especially the soup at the end bacause it was the essence of all the fresh ingredients that were cooked...unfortunately it's not Halal though...too bad...

Bubbling hot steamboat!!

From the way I'm holding the chopsticks, you can guess that I'm not that familiar with it...lol...

Alex enjoying his food...hahaha...

Next it was time for the movie. It was okay but it's the same-old storyline: a boy found out on his 14 birthday that he was the Seeker and have extraordinary power... boy is tasked with the mission of saving the world from the Dark...boy prevailed...the world is saved...get what I mean?

But the worst part was the two guys beside us, they keep on giving smart ass remarks all through the show...damn noisy! in one of the scene, the hero asked "What is the Dark?" and the two guys said "Dark is the absence of light...". It was so annoying...duh...we all know that, can you keep all that to yourself? Seriously, they are very noisy...

After the show, we went to Topshop to do some browsing...

And we camwhored in the changing room...as always...lol...

And I got this new top for myself...nice stripes...

Then, it's time for snack again! We had Hot Roll this time, Alex took tuna while mine as Double Cheese Onion...it was beyond heaven!! Hahahaha...

Next, we had ice-cream as desert. We took the New Zealand Natural ice-cream, Alex liked it so much that he took a second helping of his Kiwi & Cream sorbet and Iate the Rum & Raisin ice-cream...they are so smooth and creamy!!

Before we leave, Alex spotted Auntie Anne's Pretzels and so we indulged ourselves with those fluffy pastries! Yum!!

It was an extremely good day and outing, but then again I did spend a lot...now you know why I'm broke...

Event-ful Day

Our " 'E' 4 Inglish" event just ended a few hours ago, it didn't turn out as what we initially expected it to be. Not many people came to participate in our activities, it seemed that people were afraid of the fact that this particular event was about the importance of the English language...weird...

Event's flyer...

Well, before I go into details, I think it's best to look at what happened a day before the event...Yesterday, somebody sabotaged our event's banner!! We hung up two banners, one in Media Hub, which was our event's venue and another one in the Courtyard.

Media Hub's banner...blocked by palms' leaves...sigh...

Something even worst happened to the banner in the Courtyard...

What the hell happened??!

As you can see, our banner is not a banner anymore. It was so tangled up that the words on it were barely visible...I wonder how it got to be this way...hmmm...

Anyway, one the bright side, "The Ultimate Prom Nite" contest organized by 8TV was having a roadshow at our campus yesterday. We had so much fun taking group photo, and it's even more hilarious to see Akil and Mitch entering the competition and had to pose for the photographer...hahaha...do vote for them ok...cause they are awesome!!

"The Ultimate Prom Nite"...by

Ok, let's talk about the event. First of, our t-shirt was banned because it was too sensative (according to our English course leader that is). This is how it looked like:

What we are trying to convey is the fact that if we take English for granted (I fell asleep in english class), we will not be able to express ourselves accurately ("Sun off a beach")...however, it seemed that some lecturer do not think it's appropriate...what do you think? But, as a consolation, we were allowed to sell it, but in a discreet manner...hmmm...in a way, I feel bad about the t-shirt because lectuerers might start having bad impressions toward our class...sigh...

The itenarary for our event...

The performance by Hardstyle Republic was awesome, but there wasn't much audience...so the vibe was not really there. Most probably it's our location, it's quite isolated from the other part of our campus...but we got no choice as other venues were booked...gotta do with what we have..

Badges galore!

We also sold badges during our event other than the t-shirts. These were all handmade from discarded bottle caps...cool huh? It's was quite popular among the crowds...just that we don't reall have much crowd to start with...sigh...sad case really. 50% oftThe revenue from these badges will go to Rumah Hope, an orphanage that we are supporting for this particular event...

These are what I'm giving you..Pauline...

Badges that my team made...lol..colorful right?

Infos on Rumah Hope...

Selling badges...one for RM1 and 3 for RM2.50...

Other than that, we also had games...the most popular one was Ain's Riddle Game...

Their prizes were quite cool too...hahaha...Kuhen's booth was all about Hip-hop...love the deco...

Done by Kuhen and Ozzy...great job!

Below are soem snapshots I took when we were cleaning up...organizing an event is a definite hardwork people...pheww...

Well, it was our first event, we tried our best to make it happened and in a way I'm really proud of it...it's not really a flop, but it's also not a huge success...We'll learn and we'll grow, our next event will definitely be a blast...you wait and see...hahaha...
